Bangladeshi Students Association at University of Alberta (BSAUA) was founded on November 6, 2001. At that time five members volunteered to form an Executive Committee, whose purpose was to organize socio-cultural activities within the community. Later on, to facilitate the smooth running of the organization, a constitution was built with the consent of all existing members on November, 2001. BSAUA was established with an aim to work as a hub for the students, researchers and alumni of the University of Alberta. It also tries to educate the students of the University of Alberta about the diverse culture and rich history of Bangladesh and its people.
