Zakiganj Society of USA, Inc. is an association consists of people of Zakiganj. Zakiganj is an Upazila of Sylhet District in Sylhet Division, Bangladesh. The Society was founded in 1994. The mission of the Society is to be an advocate for ex-residents of Zakiganj on significant issues that affect the quality of their life. Further, it fosters relationship within and outside the community that allow all members to have a say in matters that affect them and their families.
The objectives of Zakiganj Society of USA are to:
⢠provide a forum for community action within the community;
⢠promote a safe and healthy environment for children;
⢠inform all members of events, activities and news that may impact the community;
⢠work with other Bangladeshi associations to ensure responsible growth of the community;
⢠organize and sponsor social, cultural and other events for the enrichment of community;
⢠celebrate social, cultural and national events of Bangladesh; etc.
