Suchitra Sen Memorial USA Inc. was formed in 2014 in New York, USA. It is a nonprofit organization founded by Bangladsehi community members of New York. The aim of the memorial to remember and celebrate life and work of Suchitra Sen.
Suchitra Sen, was an Indian film actress who worked in Bangla and Hindi cinema. The movies in which she was paired opposite Uttam Kumar became classics in the history of Bangla Cinema both in Bangladesh and India.
Suchitra Sen Memorial USA organizes film festivals, discussion etc. to bring awareness of Suchitra Sen’s contribution to Bangla film.
