Sangeet Parishad, New York, USA is a musical institute for Indian classical music, light music, and learning Bangla. It was founded on June 30, 2002. The organization teaches music of Bangladesh and India – classical, Rabindra sangeet, Nazrulgeeti, folk songs, etc to young and adult members of Bangladeshi community living in New York and California. Bangla language teaching is focused towards new generation of kids born in the USA.
The band of Sangeet Parishad is run by Kaberi Das, Paromita Mumu Das, Shrutikona Das and Niranjan Das. The band participate in community events celebrating various Bangladeshi cultural event.
The organization is not-for-profit in nature. Sangeet Parishad has a branch in San Diego California.
