Registered in USA, Canada and Bangladesh, Samina Bari Foundation is a non-profit organization devoted to uplifting health care and well being for the residents of Bangladesh. The objective of the foundation is to offer comprehensive health care and education to improve the health of Bangladeshis at no cost for those who cannot afford, or at minimum cost for the comparatively fortunate people. The project is based in Kulaura Upazila of Sylhet, Bangladesh. The mission of the foundation is to improve the health of medically under served people by providing a high quality healthcare service. The foundation continually strives to implement the critical initiatives required to achieve this vision. To do so, Samina Bari Foundation strive to deliver operational excellence and meet or exceed commitments to enrich the health and wellness of the rural Bangladeshi population.
The founders of Samina Bari Foundation are the descendants of late Quari Abdul Bari and Samina Bari. They have emigrated from Bangladesh to America, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia, and Italy. Being away from their motherland, the family felt it was necessary to give back to the community they grew up in. Also, they were inspired with a wide vision to convey respect and gratitude to their late parents by helping the poor and distressed people of Bangladesh, especially in the field of health and education.
