Dada Tapan Kanti Baidya is one of the most celebrated vocalists in the Classical Musical Meditation Tradition to come from Indian sub-continent. His training included many years of ardous practicing under Masters from Indian sub-continents. He was honored the highest degree: Masters in Music (Dhrupad, Dhamar, Khayal, Tarana, Thumri) from Visva Bharati University, Shantiniketan, India, almost three decades ago. Steeped in tradition, Dada is an innovator striving to bring the meditative qualities of Indian Classical music, particularly “Dhrupad” and “Khayal” to a larger audience.
