SACO America is South Asian Community organization, America. The organization primarily works with Bangladeshi, Indian, Pakistani, Sri Lankan, community in Brooklyn’s Kensington area for their socioeconomic development. SACO America was founded in 2012 by Bangladeshi initiative. This organization works closely with Bangladeshi American Center of North America (BACONA). The aim of SACO America is to help kids and families of South Asian origin to find health care information, education information, job related information, art, culture, recreation related information etc.
Purpose of SACO America is to
help new South Asian immigrants with basic computer knowledge
help the community with health, food, cloth, education, shelter related assistance
promote cultural understanding and appreciation of multicultural America
assist new immigrant parents who have children with disabilities
help immigrants for New York Civil Service Examinations
help them find and apply for suitable jobs
help teach elderly immigrant community to learn English, arrange recreational socializing events
improve quality life of elderly immigrant community by providing TV viewing, newspaper reading, indoor game facilities or opportunity, etc.
As a not for profit all the events of the organization is free and open to all.
