Nari or Naree (নারà§/Woman) is a Bangla magazine primarily for Bangladeshi women published from Jackson Heights, New York. It is scheduled to publish every month. The aim of the magazine is to write about women related issues of the world with special emphasis to Bangladeshi and South Asian women. Nari Magazine is interested in telling their stories, struggles, successes, failures, obstacles, sorrows, happiness, culture, rights, etc. In general, the magazine publishes articles related to woman’s life and work from woman’s point of view. The magazine writes on about literature, beauty, health care, cooking, travel, law, family and other issues from the perspective of women living in New York, USA. The focus of the magazine is not to spread feminist ideas, but to publish women-friendly themes. 48-page printed version of the magazine is available for $1.00. A jpeg version of the magazine is posted online for online readers.
The magazine was first published in 2015. Anyone can send their articles to the magazine written in Bangla or English. Popy Chowdhury is the editor of the magazine and Tapan Chowdhury is the publisher.
