Mother Languages Conservation Movement International Inc. (also called MLC Movement International) is a organization of Bangladeshi community in Australia. It is located in Sydney, NSW and registered as not-for-profit organization (Reg: 9888360). Mother Languages Conversation Movement International was founded to create awareness about the importance to mother languages specially in the context of Australian multicultural society. The organization wants to build the awareness of native languages in the shape of Ekushey February 21st – the language movement in Bangladesh.
MLC Movement International activities include
to celebrate the importance of mother languages with seminar, workshop
to bring native or ethnic language awareness of among all Australians
to organize events to display alphabets/linguistic heritage of language
to organize languages festivals, cultural programs
to collaborate with authorities to spread the scope of the movement
to create a ‘Mother Language Bank’ to formulate a database of phonetics pronunciation, etc.
