Greater Laksam Foundation USA, Inc. is an association of Bangladeshi community in New York who came to USA from Laksam and surrounding areas – (Comilla Sadar Upazila, Laksam Upazila, Monohorgonj Upazila, and Nangalkot Upazila). The foundation was established in 2015 for people of Laksam to unite under one organization so that the community can discuss how to develop collectively, be socially engaged, and organize events.
The aim of the Greater Laksam Foundation USA are
Maintain unity in the society and community.
Enhance family life through co-operation among members and arranging recreation and entertainments.
Increase moral and social value of the community people.
Respect each other and abide by law and rules and regulations of USA.
Organize social and cultural gathering to maintain identity, culture and social harmony.
Education and quality of life toward existence of next generation.
Look after the welfare of needy people and helping them by counseling and giving best support. etc.
