The Greater Barisal Club, Canada is an organization of Bangladeshi community who immigrated in Canada from Barisal area of Bangladesh. Greater Barisal Club includes people from Barisal, Barguna, Bhola, Jhalokati, Patuakhali and Pirojpur. Greater Barisal Club, Canada was founded in 2106 as a charitable organization to promote the culture of greater Barisal in Canada. The group organizes cultural events for all Bangladeshi community, helps create an atmosphere of fun, entertainment, and festivities. One of the principle aims of the organization is to introduce ‘Barisal’ and Bangladeshi culture to younger Bangladeshi-Canadians as well as initiate, preserve and promote culture of that area in Canada.
The Greater Barisal Club aims to make a platform
to make Canada a truly multicultural society via inclusion of all cultures
to create tolerance, understanding atmosphere where people can flourish
to help people who are in need of support
to give people of grater Barisal area a platform to express themselves, etc.
