Downtown Manhattan Bangladeshi Business Association, Inc. is a business organization of Bangladeshi small business owners, vendors, shareholders. The association was created in 2004. It is registered in New York as a domestic not-for-profit organization.
The aim of the association is to
make a strong network among Bangladeshi businesses working in Downtown Manhattan
promote a safe, secure and healthy environment for business for the community
create a friendly and cooperative relationship with all ethnic community working in the area
plan, arrange and celebrate cultural, religious and national events of Bangladesh together
lobby for good business environment with local authorities
help maintain and spread business opportunities for all Bangladeshis, etc.
Downtown Manhattan Bangladeshi Business Association is a membership based organization. Currently there are 25 general members in the organization. The organization is run by a elected committee. Each year the association organize family picnic, iftar party and other events for its members and their family.
