CO-ID (Co-Operation In Development Australia Inc.) is a registered Australian charity, building and operating schools in the third world, especially in Bangladesh. CO-ID was founded by Fred Hyde, an Australian in 1991. Since its start, Fred and his CO-ID volunteer team have raised funds to build quality schools and educate thousands of children in Bangladesh who would never have had the opportunity to learn. To date, CO-ID has helped to educate more than 60,000 children in 41 local schools.
All of CO-ID schools are located in Bhola district of Bangladesh. The schools provide free basic primary education to boys and girls. CO-ID is run by volunteers, led by Fred Hyde. Schools in Melbourne, Sydney and Tasmania, actively participate in fund raising and sponsor school projects in Bangladesh.
