The principal mission of Bay Area Bangladesh Association is to keep the cultural heritage alive among the Bangladeshis in Northern California and help Bangladesh grow.
Bay Area Bangladesh Association (BABA) is a non-profit , non-political and secular organization dedicated to Bangladeshis in North California and in Bangladesh. The objectives are:
To promote goodwill and understanding among the members of the organization as well as between the members and other ethnic groups in the Bay Area.
To help Bangladeshis arriving in the Bay Area adjust to the social, economic and cultural conditions of this country.
To help develop economic and educational growth in Bangladesh.
To keep the cultural heritage of Bangladesh alive among the Bangladeshi residents in Northern California through cultural and educational programs and exchanges.
To investigate and implement means of utilizing the resources of talent among men, women, and children of Bangladeshi living or immigrating to this area.
Vision of BACC (Bangladesh American Community Center) Silicon Valley, CA:
Establish a common facility for Bangladeshi community in Silicon Valley Area to share & promote Knowledge, Experience and Cultural Heritage.
The goals of this center are to provide the following:
Establish an address for the community
Center for Bangladesh Studies: Establish a Bangladesh Library and Media Center, including WiFi Facility and Bangladeshi TV Channels
Organize Social and Cultural Networking Events including Special Events for Family
Offer Courses on Bengali History, Culture, Literature, and Religious Studies
Sponsor workshop, seminar and conference to enhance technical and leadership skills
Make facility available for private events.
