Bangladhara (বাà¦à¦²à¦¾à¦§à¦¾à¦°à¦¾) is a Bangla literary meetup of Bangladeshi community in Atlanta, Georgia. The group organizes meeting to enjoy, discuss and read from Bangladeshi literary figures like Rabindranath Tagore and Nazrul Islam. Bangladhara provides new and veteran Bangladeshi writers, reciters, essayists, critics, singers to showcase their talents and new productions.
The group wants to introduce Bangladeshi cultural tradition to the new generation of Bangladeshi kids living in Atlanta. The aim is to keep the kids creative, curious and culturally close to their root. Activities include Bangla songs, art, dance, drawing, acting etc. Bangladhara also celebrates Bangla New Year (Boiskhakhi), International Mother Language Day (Ekushey), Birthdays of Rabindranath Tagore and Nazrul Islam, and other non-secular events.
