Bangladesh Society of New Jersey (BSNJ) is a non-political and non-profit organization which is registered (Registration No. 0100351734) with the State of New Jersey. Established in 1987, BSNJ is the first of such Bangladeshi-American organization of its kind in New Jersey. The organization was founded with following missions:
To develop and promote friendship and mutual understanding among members and other people in the community;
To organize cultural, educational and social programs;
To stimulate interest in economic, social, philanthropic and other developmental activities in Bangladesh;
To establish contacts and affiliations with organizations of similar aims and objectives here and abroad; and
To undertake other activities as are incidental to or conducive to all or any of the aforesaid purposes and objectives.
