Bangladesh New Zealand Friendship Society

Bangladesh New Zealand Friendship Society (BNZFS) is an association of expatriate Bangladeshis living and working in New Zealand. Established in 1991, Bangladesh New Zealand Friendship Society (BNZFS) is a membership-based, non-profit, organization without affiliation to any political parties in Bangladesh or in New Zealand.
Bangladesh New Zealand Friendship Society (BNZFS) Inc. is committed to provide an advancement and assistance in prospects for Bangladeshis residing in New Zealand which fosters Bangladeshi culture, language and self-respect, provides a supportive environment to practice and develop the knowledge, skills and values necessary to uphold self-identity and to face the challenges of reality and to participate in a multicultural and ethnically diverse New Zealand society.
The goal of Bangladesh New Zealand Friendship Society is to bring a taste of Bangladesh and foster unity among the Bangladeshi community living in New Zealand by organizing various community activities, such as, celebrating Bangladesh Independence Day, Bangladesh Victory Day, International Mother Language Day, Bengali New Year, Rabindra-Nazrul Jayanti, religious festivals, cultural evenings, overnight camping, picnic, Bangla language school, sports and games, publishing magazine ‘Ayojon’ and newsletter, providing Bangla Library service, broadcasting Bangla Radio program, arranging various migrant services and seminars, research, organizing women’s programs, and many more.
In times of crisis in Bangladesh or in New Zealand, caused by any disasters Bangladesh New Zealand Friendship Society (BNZFS) has always endeavored to raise awareness and contribute to help the affected people by their direct involvement.
