Bangladesh Cultural Forum (BCF), a Bangladeshi community group in Newcastle, NSW, Australia, was founded to celebrate Bangladeshi cultural events as well as introduce it in Australia’s multicultural environment. Founded in 1997 by a group of Bangladeshi residents in Newcastle, Bangladesh Cultural Forum (BCF) aims to create an strong bond, friendship, cooperation among Bangladeshi diaspora. The organization organizes Bangla drama, picnic, Eid festival, Iftar party, Islamic education and awareness seminar, national events of Bangladesh, such as, Bangla New Year (Boishakhi), Ekushey February, Bangladesh Independence Day, etc. Most of the programs are funded, organized and performed by community members voluntarily.
