Bangladesh Buddhist Association of Canada (BBAC) is a non-profit, non-political and non-discriminatory organization, which was established in 2007, with a focus on sharing and celebrating its success and introduce the vibrant culture of Bangladeshi Buddhists to multicultural society of Canada. Since its inception in 2007, BBAC has been continuing its efforts to keep indigenous culture and commence it to the next generation growing in Canada and as a whole, North America.
Mission of Bangladesh Buddhist Association of CanadaÂ
To participate in the mainstream and socio-cultural activities of the peoples of Canada, including those of other international and ethnic cultural organizations
To preserve and promote Buddhist culture and encourage youth involvement To establish and maintain a common place of worship for Bangladeshi Buddhist community
To implement socio-cultural, charitable and other community affairs with a view to promote harmony and goodwill within and across the community
To develop a sustainable mutual understanding within the community, and to provide services to the needy members of the community
To extend help to the new Bangladeshi immigrants in their settlement in Canada.
BBAC desires to uplift and encourage members to create a diversified environment by demonstrating excellent leadership with caring steps within and across our communities. To fulfill this, BBAC has set its moral value to:
– Offer excellent and diversified leadership in socio-cultural progress
– Support novelty and partnerships with other communities
– Respect wisdom within and across the community and encourage citizen involvement
– Demonstrate trust, integrity, transparency, inclusivity and respect
– Embrace diversity
