Bangladeshi American Association of Connecticut (BAAC) is a non-profit, voluntary, nonpolitical, and secular forum organized exclusively for cultural, educational and charitable purposes. It qualifies under Section 501 (c) of the internal revenue code, or corresponding section of any future federal tax code. The organization is committed to sustaining and promoting Bangladeshi culture and heritage, supporting the society and reinforcing the future generation with meaningful values. BAAC strive to keep Bangladeshi rich culture and heritage alive through various cultural festivals and varieties of activities throughout the year.
The purpose of Bangladeshi American Association of Connecticut is
to provide for the intellectual, cultural, physical, social, spiritual, and civic welfare to people of Bangladeshi origin;
to promote understanding, goodwill, and appreciation of cultures of Bangladesh among all persons regardless of color, creed, race, religion, and national origin;
to promote Bangladeshi American relations;
to promote cultural exchange with other groups, organizations, or institutions interested in Bangladeshi culture;
to facilitate activities of other professional, student, or any other group of Bangladeshis, provided that said groups, organizations, or institutions are also non-profit and non-political organizations duly organized under the state laws.
BAAC Activities
Arranges medical doctor consultation for those without health insurance every month
Conducts regular fund raising activities for our community support and social service goals to assist the needy all over the world
Attempts to bring the Bangladeshi American community together by arranging various social events
