Bangladesh Sports Council of America is a sporting club of Bangladeshi community in New York City. The club is mainly geared towards the youth community members. The aim of the club is to build an enriching community setting for Bangladeshi youth, using sports as a vehicle to inspire them to fulfill their academic, physical, and personal potential. The club is also open to all Bangladeshi youth adults.
Bangladesh Sports Council of America beliefs that sport builds physical, mental, and moral character as well as community. It is a not-for-profit. Most of its activities are supported by donation, sponsorship, community assistance and by volunteerism.
The club organizes soccer, cricket, badminton, carom, chess and other popular games. It also organizes soccer tournament among US-based Bangladeshi sporting clubs. All of its activities are geared towards adult young male population of Bangladeshi community.
