Weekly Bangalee (বাà¦à¦¾à¦²à§) is a Bangladeshi newspaper published from New York City in Bangla. Launched in 1991, the newspaper serves Bangladeshi immigrant community for their latest international and local news needs. The newspaper publishes every Sunday and is one of the most widely read newspaper among Bangladeshi community. It is distributed free of cost in New York. The newspaper is printed color when where necessary and 60-68 pages, Weekly Bangalee is available at many Bangladeshi newsstands, grocery stores, restaurants in Bangladeshi neighborhoods of Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx and Manhattan. It is also available in few other States of USA. Weekly Bangalee publishes world news, feature news, sports, arts and entertainment, opinions and editorials, community news, and classifieds advertisements.
Customers can get Weekly Bangalee by subscriptions. The Weekly maintains a free online version of its publication. The online version is published in pdf format and divided in 4-6 parts. Customers can look for some past issues online too.
The newspaper collects most of it news, article, essay, feature, cartoon etc from Bangladeshi online newspapers, magazines, periodicals and web sources. Some reports on Bangladesh community events are written by in-house staffs. Bangladeshi community organizations also send press releases and information for publication.
