Bangladesh Centre London is a Bangladeshi community center in UK dedicated to cultural, educational and welfare services for the Bangladeshi community in London. All services are provided both in English and Bangla language. The organization serves Kensington, Chelsea and surrounding boroughs. No appointment is necessary for any advice.
Aims & Objectives of the center
To Provide an advisory and information service including casework dealing with welfare benefits, immigration and nationality, homelessness and housing, translation and interpretation, employment and training, legal and police matters, health care and general information etc.
To provide supplementary school program including holding classes for Bangla language as a mother tongue, Bangla language for non-Bangali people, English as second language. GCSE and ‘A’ level Bangla, English, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Biology etc.
To provide advice, guidance on health care by professional doctor(s).
To provide ICT facilities to beneficiaries, especially from the Bangladeshi community.
To organize cultural functions, festivals and to hold Bangladesh national events throughout the year, (e.g. Martyrs Day and International Mother Language Day, Independence and National Day, Bangla New Year, Bangladesh Victory Day, etc.). Exhibition of crafts, paintings, photographs, are a part and parcel of the cultural activities.
To provide music school program to the interested groups including second generation Bangladeshis through providing facilities of learning Dance, Music and Drama.
To organize get together parties every week for women and also to arrange sociocultural seminars and hold classes on painting, knitting, sewing, cooking, performing arts etc. under women’s awareness program.
To provide indoor and outdoor games facilities including table tennis, snooker, chess, carom board, badminton, football, cricket and gym etc.
To provide hostel facilities with TV/visitors lounge, game room, kitchen and dining room etc. to the boarders’ expected to come from all over the world and in particular from Bangladesh.
To provide library facilities containing educational books, children’s books, books on Bengali literature with sufficient up-to-date stock of newspapers and periodicals.
To provide community development services and liaises with the local authorities, central government, voluntary sector organizations with the object of maintaining a good relationship between the indigenous population and the ethnic minority communities.

Business Hours:
Monday to Friday, 12:00 noon – 5.00 pm
Hostel services are open up to 10:00 pm every day
Sunday, 10.00 am – 6.00 pm (No advice at weekends)
